Plateau Police boss assures residents of no more bombs.


In the bid to arrest the recurring trend of criminal activities and inter tribal crisis and bring back the lost glory of Plateau State, the new appointed Commissioner of Police, CP. Chris Olakpe, has taken a new swift in combating crime and ensuring the security of lives and properties of the good people of Plateau.
The CP, made this known while briefing newsmen in Jos, the Plateau State capital recently. He assured that peace would reign in the state and the activities of hoodlums and armed bandits are already waning in the state as the command has recorded successes in some of the operations initiated on his assuming command. “Apart from this, we will no longer hear of Church bombings in Plateau and this is as a result of strategic measures we have adopted in tackling the crime and this has resulted in making church attacks impossible by terrorists’ elements,” he said.
While parading some suspects, Olakpeare said the command has recovered vehicles and properties worth N11, 830,000 with successes recorded in cases of criminal conspiracy and homicide and armed Robbery are all success stories recorded so far by the new CP. . The CP urged members of the public to continue cooperating with the Police and other security agencies by providing credible and prompt information that will aid the Police in sustaining the enduring peace which the state now enjoys.
